Ace & Jig Spring 2018 Textile Guide

Ace & Jig Spring 2018 Textile Collage
Collage made by me!

Still no official release of Ace & Jig Spring 2018 yet, but I took the liberty of gathering up all of the textiles I saw in the preview photos for some fun discussion and speculation — 25 in all and counting!. In case you missed it, I highly recommend checking out my previous post for a preview of Ace & Jig Spring 2018.

The textile info below is comprised of my own wild (albeit educated) guesses about what to expect. Note: The names aren't real — just a fun inside joke, since the collection so strongly evokes candy to me — but it makes them easier to talk about, so why not? See below for my musings. And feel free to suggest better textile names in the comments!

And if you want to learn more about this season's textiles, take a gander at my recently updated Ace & Jig Fall 2017 Textile Guide!

How to fix doublegauze snags with this $5 tool!

So it seems like almost everyone's Cabaret/Antoinette Ra Ra Midis are turning up with lots of snags/pulls due to what I can only assume to be production issues. But fear not, Ra Ra lovers! There's actually a cheap and easy way to fix all those pulls and make your skirt look brand new and flawless, no crafting skills required!

It's a little tool called a Snag Nabit, but really should be called a magic wand for pull-pone Ace & Jig fabrics. It's not even that hard to use, but I made a little video to demonstrate. Watch it above and buy the tool below. It's the best $5 you'll ever spend on Ace & Jig!

Collage made with love by me!
I've been getting a lot of questions about Ace & Jig's Fall 2017 collection, to which I sadly don't have to which I don't have all the answers, as I don't work for Ace & Jig or any of their retailers, and thus don't get special access (yet!). But below is what I either do know, or have guessed based on past Ace & Jig textile experience.

Note: All photos are by Ace & Jig, but it does take time and effort to organize them all into this guide. if you use this site as an image source, please credit "@aceandjig via @anotherthread" so that others can find their way here!

Ace & Jig Drop 4 Textiles: Ivy, Solstice, Madras, Lunar
It's always best to jump into the preorder fray already knowing what you're looking for. To help you make a game plan for the Ace & Jig preorder action going down tonight, here's a crash course on the SS17 Drop 4 textiles.

Incidentally, I have seen all of these in person already, thanks to various Barneys XOs and kimonos. See below for the official info from Ace & Jig, plus reviews based on my personal experience of the textiles.
