New Ace & Jig at Shopbop — Just in time for a sale!

New Ace & Jig Shopbop Exclusives
My personal pick is the Janis Mini in Parfait (above), which I find just a bit more manageably sweet in the shorter length, and ideal for petite ladies as well. It also helps that it comes at a slightly lower price point of $298 vs. the original's $320.
It is accompanied by Ruby Minis in Promenade and Macaron, which I'm less into, as I personally love the midi length of the original Ruby Dress. It, too, is at a slightly lower price point, at $269 vs. the original's $289.

Today's Ace & Jig XOs were some of the best yet: the new exclusive Camille Dresses in Black Magic, Tangier, and Parfait appear to be big winners based on how quickly they flew out the door today, with Black Magic being especially quick to sell out. At $280 retail, they're quite reasonably priced, as far as I'm concerned, and the shape looks like a really good one, too! In case you missed them, you can always find the Barney's Exclusive Camille Dress in Honor, which is still available for preorder now!

I'm heading out to the Hamptons for the first time ever today, for the Ace & Jig Trunk Show, but wanted to leave you with these webstore exclusive photos from yesterday's xo drop.
I'm really excited about the Capella Cardis, since they very much resemble a Frida Jacket from Spring 2017 with sleeves, which Julie had schemed from the beginning. Mindreaders? Alterations copycats? Alas, I over-refreshed the webstore 3 minutes before it was posted, and Shopify blocked me from loading the site at all, so I wasn't able to grab any of them... A cautionary tale for us all. Though it doesn't deliver on the much-desired adult-sized quilts we've all been craving, there are excellent pieces to be found for parents of kiddos and childless adults alike. Yes, I'll admit. I've been feeling busy and exhausted and a little bit blah since it's the end of the season, and sales aren't super fun to blog about if you're decidedly not allowed to buy more Ace this season...
I must admit, I'm thrilled that the Stillwaters aren't for me (too long in length and sleeve) so I can stick to my resolve, but I'm excited to see them on others, and super happy that they now exist. I shall be living vicariously through those of you who snagged them! Seems like Carnival, Major, and Eclipse sold out first (dark colors, eh?), so I'll be looking out for those in the world.

I'm not the only one who is totally relieved that this is the second week in a row without XOs (Webstore Exclusives), am I? Still, the textile temptation never ends.
Last Friday, Ace & Jig released a code for 30% off for its most loyal email newsletter subscribers/customers (and free shipping for others, I hear). This week, that same discount is available as a markdown on select items, mainly from early in the season.

Sometimes the goddesses of Ace & Jig are tricksy minxes... Though they teased the coming of the XO Hooded and regular Mesa dresses in an Instagram post, they kept us all on their toes with the release with a whole bunch of unexpected surprise XOs as well!
It was the most mish-mashy assortment I've seen thus far, and it's hard to even talk about it as a cohesive XO drop... Though I guess you could get away with calling it the Attack of the Dresses, as the vast majority of the drop consisted of myriad dress styles in textiles old and new.

Is it just me or does it seem like 4th Drop happened in a flash?
Maybe because I'm sadly beginning to get used to all those doublegauze delays (that hopefully have not become the norm — I'm still waiting on an Emerald dress...) or maybe it's that the textiles weren't quite my cup of tea for the most part... I'm most definitely behind on all of the try-ons and reviews, 'cause it's all starting to pop up online!

Ace & Jig Try-Ons at Barneys, Part 2: Ballad Midi Dress in Merry, Paz Dress in Chester
Continuing on from Part 1...
I first tried on the Ballad Midi Dress in Merry (size XS) around a week ago, and didn't post it because I had an Alice in Wonderland moment. Wasn't I too short for the Ballad Dress, which was maxi length even on models? But it was maxi length on tiny 4'11" me. Something was up.

New Barneys Ace & Jig XO Dress!
The Barneys Exclusive Ballad Midi Dress in Merry is one I've been waiting for, as I tried this on at Barneys a little while ago, but wasn't totally sure if, like the XO Atwood, the length was unique to Barneys, since other Ballad dresses look maxi-length on most models, while this one was approximately ankle length on me. As I haven't tried other Ballad dresses yet, I wasn't totally sure, but these photos appear to confirm the unique length.

Wow, wow, wow. That's about all I can say after the insanity today. I knew it was coming, but I still wasn't totally prepared for how quickly everything would fly out! Not gonna lie, I meditated beforehand to get myself in the zone, and I'm happy with the items I came away with.
Unsurprisingly, it seemed as though Emerald and Black Hole were the first ones to go, followed quickly by Ivy and then Twine. Hope everyone got something that they love. If you scored something, let us know in the comments!
